My key aim is to quickly get all clients totally self-sufficient in looking after their websites. If that’s what they want of course.

That is why I choose to use the WordPress system, because it is just so easy and quick to learn. It is by definition very low maintenance. And that’s good!

I still like to offer support to all clients and the guise this support takes is from a single email asking a question to a regular maintenance programme.

If you follow the video tutorials then you should be able to carry out the majority of your website updating.

You decide what it is that you need and I’ll set it up for you.

Keeping things up to date

Keeping your website content updated and optimised is essential if you want your website to work hard for you and your business image.

I realise though that not everyone has the time, resources or inclination to update and tweak their website as often as it should be done. With that in mind I have put together three complimentary maintenance packages, along with an Ad Hoc option, that fills the gap for you.

   How long does it take to get the site live?

   I strive to get your site live within 21 days from order date. This obviously is dependent on provision of content by yourself and how quickly you get back to me with your revisions.

   I don't know much about computers, will I be OK?

   Yes, you'll be fine. I have many clients using our system that fully admit they are technophobes! The instructions are easy to follow and not least of which if you really get stuck you can contact me.

   Can I edit my site on more than one computer?

   Yes, the editing software is on the server not on your machine so you can edit your site from any computer connected to the internet through a browser of your choice, PC or Mac.

   I need more than one site can I have a discount?

   Yes you can. Get The WoW mini websites are ideal for microsites, club or member sites. Please call me to discuss your requirements.

   Can I change my design at a later date?

   If you wish. However there will be a small charge depending on the extent of the changes.

   Can I have more pages in the future?

   Yes you can. Additional pages can be added and configured by me and cost £45 per page. You are paying for my time to set the page up and then add your text and images.

   However, if you are comfortable with the process you can add your own pages at no charge. because CMS is designed to be as user friendly as possible and therefore offer great editing features in an easy to use system.

   I have found through experience that most of our clients are more than happy to have me manage the overall site for them.

   Is my site backed up?

   Absolutely! All servers are backed up on a daily basis. You can also download your own back up file directly from the content manager. In fact we install a plugin as standard that automatically backs up your database and emails you the file.

   How many email addresses can I have?

   With the hosting system we use you can have an unlimited number of addresses.

   Are there on going hosting costs?

   Absolutely no on-going costs for the website design and set up. You will however need to re-new your hosting and domain name registration every year, as every website owner has to do.

    Do I own the site and domain?

    Sure, you've paid for it. All domains on your behalf, if registered by me will be in your name. The site and it's content are yours. The content management system is the world famous Word Press system which is open source and therefore free. You can access this system from any computer in the world via your web browser.

    I don't have a domain name can you register it for me?

    Yes we will. All domains registered by me will be registered in your name so you own it.

    I do have a domain name can I use it?

    For sure. All I need to do is change a couple of setting so that it points to our servers.

    Do you search engine optimise (SEO) my site?

    All Get The WoW sites are built to be search engine friendly. As part of the package I will submit your site to the major engines once your content has been added. I also set up your website with the best SEO plugins. Also WordPress websites are all highly optimised for search engines right from the design stage. If you require additional optimisation please call as I have many options to suit your requirements.

    Can I search engine optimise (SEO) my own site?

    You can and I recommend you do. The content management system I use has been developed to allow you to optimise your site in the best possible way. It is useful to get listed with as many on-line directories as possible too. I have a short but concise 'How to' guide which I think you'll find it extremely useful and informative.

    How much web space have I got?

    It depends on the package you purchase and how much you feel you need. The smallest hosting package we use gives you 1000Mb of disc space and offers unmetered bandwidth.

Updating the text on your site is as easy as using a word processor.

Once logged in, you click a button next to the section you wish to edit, and you can format the text using the familiar toolbar buttons.

Adding pictures, files and hyperlinks is just as straightforward.

Even if you’re already computer-savvy, you will still benefit from your website’s intuitive administration tools.

No need for special software, so you can update your site in any internet cafe in the world. If you know some HTML, there is even the option to enter the tags directly for extra freedom.

Needless to say, I practise what I preach: I update this website using the same content management system that I provide for my clients.

No Fuss

Your website will be provided all set up and running including hosting.

If you already have a domain name that is hosted with another provider but you would rather transfer over to us rather than re-new, then we can organise that for you, also with no fuss – and no charge.

If you already have a domain name (eg www.myname.co.uk), this can usually be pointed at your new site. Alternatively, I’m happy to organise the purchase and renewal of a new domain name.

Alternatively, if you have no idea what you would like, I can come up with a preliminary design as a starting point for discussion, or liaise with a graphic designer appointed by you.

All designs follow the W3C’s guidelines for accessibility, ensuring that your site is usable by visitors with disabilities.

I also make use of tried and tested style guidelines to ensure that your message is delivered loud and clear to all your visitors.

Most of the things you’ll ever need to say on your website, from the overview of your business to your price lists, can be displayed on one of these standard pages.

News page with RSS feed, so that visitors can keep up to date with your latest news even when they’re not currently browsing your site. You can also choose to display the latest headlines in a News Flash on every page of your site.

Calendar of Events, viewable a month at a time or displaying all upcoming events at on a single page.

Forums with optional visitor logins. You can choose to make your forums accessible to everyone, or have your visitors log in before they can use them.

Photo Galleries with optional photo captions and gallery descriptions.

Mailing list where your visitors can sign up to receive your newsletters or special offers by email.

Guest book with the option to notify you by email whenever a new message is left.

Contacts page with email forms to keep your email address hidden from spammers. Also useful if you don’t want your site visitors to know your personal email address.

Site Map with quick links to all the pages in your site (useful for larger, more complicated sites)
